children, teens, and young adults with special needs learn the fundamentals of basketball while building confidence, developing new skills, and making lasting friendships. Participants are paired with teen volunteers who provide encouragement, individualized support, and plenty of high-fives as they practice dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.

Each session includes a fun scrimmage game, giving players the chance to put their new skills into action, celebrate their achievements, and experience the excitement of being part of a team. Basketball Buddies promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, inclusion, and meaningful connections—creating a positive experience for both participants and volunteers.

An action-packed day camp for children with special needs filled with fun camp activities, including sports, music, games, art, entertainment, and exciting trips around the Orange County area.

All staff members and volunteers are hand-picked for their experience and dedication in working with special needs individuals and are specially trained and briefed on each camper to ensure that campers have the safest and most exciting experience possible.
